The Haida V-PRO Series Black Mist Filters helps to reduce the value of highlights and at the same time slightly lower the overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other blemishes. Although this filter was designed for video usage, it can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. In contrast to a conventional diffusion or soft focus filter, Black Mist filters offer little loss of detail in the entire image. The 1/8 density offers less contrast and light reduction than the 1/4 density while still allowing a soft, pastel-like quality of light.
